October 10, 2024To use modern lingo-this 2962P is sick. It made short work of removing a tire on my Town and Country van. I used the auto mode. It gave me full removal power and slowed perfectly when the nuts broke loose. Also, it quickly stopped when tightening-I then used my torque wrench to take them to spec. I used the 2962P with a standard XC 5.0 battery and it felt very balanced and seemed quite powerful for its size. I would buy again, recommend to a friend-all that stuff.
The socket retaining ring for this tool is a joke

January 2, 2025The tool looks great, feels great and I'm sure that performs well. I purchased this tool over other 1/8" drivers because of the LED placement lighting up a significant area.
My issue iswith the choice of split ring to retain the socket. You can get a socket on with some pressure, I was not able to remove the socket without popping off the retaining ring each and every time. It is a pain to move another ring on the tool. I will be returning this poorly engineered tool.
Sucks.
Excellent power & size

July 16, 2024Been lurking on this for a while then it came on sale here. I love the power (600ft/lbs) for such a small size and the fact that at a touch of a button I can switch torques down to even 30ft pounds. I haven't touched my air impact since I got this. Picked the 3/8 so I have the option of more sockets I can use for home needs. Wheels come off and on so fast (compared to my air gun) as you can literally turn the drive so slow with a slight pull of the trigger to make sure you're threading it on properly, and no hoses. Should have had this years ago but the technology wasn't quite there, now it is.
[Rewarded Review] Older model, but gets the job done in tight spots

October 27, 2024This is a prior gen with torque of 600lbs instead of the new 650lbs model, but she still gets the job done. This thing saved me from going to the mechanic! It was able to loosen the rusty bolts and nuts of my outer steering rod, front lower ball joint (impossible levels of rust) and the MASSIVE nut connecting the wheel to the CV Axle shaft Assembly (the thing that connects the wheel to the transmission and powers the wheel). Rust penetrant helped but still fantastic performance in tight spaces.
